Honestly, one of the best things about The Sims in general is how customizable the game can be.
The fact that this franchise is a platform for arguably one of the largest consumer-generated content communities around speaks volumes. I mean, think about it: custom content has been around since The Sims 2 (and has worked). That was way back in 2004!
So here I am giving you new options to customize your TS4 Sims. Or at least her eyes. Enjoy!
1.Dawn Default Eyes von Gerbitshi

You can get those beautifully clear eyes in the standard 18 EA shades (which I'm sure we're all familiar with) plus 9 additional shades of the creator's own making.
These new shades include a few extra shades of brown, some hazelnuts (and hazel green), and an extra pair of dark blues.
Unfortunately, since Sims 4 doesn't have a style build in CAS (where honestly it would make the most sense), there aren't too many options.
And with eyes as pretty as these, you definitely want as many color variations as possible!
2.Moony Eyes von Miiko

Look at how soft and crystalline those eyes are. I'll never be able to pick a favorite from this list (because I'm weak against beautiful Maxis Match eyes), so I'll just keep singing the praises of each individual item.
ThisMoony eyesby Miiko are truly a work of art.
You look like a painting. A highly detailed, interactive, 3D modeled painting.
I love how the smudged look of the highlights softens the whole eye. And the other details are so flattering. Like how the pupil just smears and blends into the iris and then blends into the outer ring? Or how the shadow version adds so much more depth to the whole thing?
Honestly, there's a lot of unpacking with it. So I leave it to you to explore the options yourself. Trust me; You will not be disappointed!
3.LUZ Eyes by simandy

Simandy is undoubtedly one of my favorite creators of TS4 CC.
I love her hair, I love her makeup sets and I love her eyes.
ThisLuzSimandy's eyes are actually what I currently have installed in my game and they work great!
They come in two versions; big students and small students.
And while I'm a big fan of the cute cartoon look, I'm actually using V2. I don't know, I like the piercing, quasi-realistic look more.
But with the way Simondy designed the eyes, they both lookso goodthat it's really just a matter of preference.
FromcouldTechnically, you have both versions installed, but note that you must select one as your default replacement (i.e. all Sims in your game will automatically have that version).
The other must be onecomplexioninstallation, otherwise you risk ruining your mods folder.
4.Aqua Trigger Eyes Unnaturals von Miss Ruby Bird

For mermaids, mermen and other mysterious creatures of the deep, Miss Ruby Bird'sAqua trigger eyescan add that mesmerizing element of weird, unusual, and otherworldly.
ThatCentral heterochromiaFor example, patterns have a different colored ring in the middle, “around the pupil”. The effect is subtle but mesmerizing.
Thatunnatural contactsSwatches come in 38 options, and they're all mostly colors that - as you can imagine - are anything but natural.
I also like that the shadows in the upper part of the iris have a distinct edge. That really brings out the color.
5.Whispering Eyes by DangerouslyFreeJellyfishCC

The name totally fits how the eyes look. Light, whisper-soft and airy.
Even the darker swatches appear weightless and porcelain, if that makes sense.
It's pretty hard to describe exactly how soft those eyes look in-game and in CAS. All I know is that there's something about those eyes that makes the colors stand out.
I don't know if it's the subtly darker ring around the iris (which separates it from the sclera) or if it's the lack of the highlight (which lets you see the color better).
Whatever the reason, thiswhisperEyes are beautiful and no one can convince me otherwise.
6.Dog Days Default & Nondefault Eyes von simulationcowboy

This stuffed grab bag of overhauled TS4 eyes is perfect if you're looking to kick off a total visual overhaul.
There are custom eyes for all life stages (from toddlers to the elderly) and all types of Sims (basically normal and occult), and that's themstunning.
The creator has included small, dainty, barely noticeable details in the designs, and they make them pretty damn alluring. Like the lighter "rays" in the iris of normal eyes, or the prominent, vertical, cat-eye pupil for the occult color patches.
You can install these as standard replacements or as cosmetic add-ons.
7.Dazzle Eyes by Eva Zetta

Yes, I have to agree with the name. You are pretty dazzling.
The color style used for these eyes is a very smooth, very subtle gradient that forms a kind of light ellipse spreading out from the pupil. It gives it that very "2D animated cartoon" feel that's definitely right for the Sims 4 style.
I love the sprinkles of light reflecting off the center.
It's visible enough to make the eyes look bright and clear, but subtle enough not to draw attention away from the eye color and design.
There are a total of 27 eye colors to choose from, all mostly in the green, blue, brown and black color families. Also perfect for any Maxis Match build.
8.Eyes_02 by stretchskeleton

I originally saw these eyes in a Not So Berry Challenge lookbook, so I decided to check them out.
Mind you, I saw the "pupils" version (which I thought looked very neat and really piercing).
But when I saw the "Without Pupils" I fell in love and have never regretted it.
There's just something so satisfying about them. They make my sim look cool, distant and coolextraintimidating.
There are 35 patterns with pupils and 25 patterns without, for a total of 60 colors.
9.Crybabies’ Crystal Eyes Recolor von Solstice-Sims

"Crystal" eyes is exactly the right description for these eyes.
They're clear, they're shiny, and they literally come in the most beautiful shades.
Because of this I decided to post the recolor and not the original version as the original version absolutely blew my mind. Because the recolor added 72 swatches to choose from, including some stunning ombre combinations and lots of eye-catching unnatural hues.
But come overthe original pageanyway since you still need to download Crybabiescrystal eyesfor this recoloring to work.
10.Agate Eyes by emmibouquet

If eyes really are the windows to the soul, then those eyes hide some pretty interesting souls.
These are probably some of the most detailed eyes on the list in my opinion.
There's just something about the subtle lines across the iris, the differently colored ring around the pupil (in some patterns), and the shooting star-like flares of light at the top. Kind of looks like a dim galaxy.
Fifteen patterns in all (some have surprising color combinations!) and you'll find them incomplexion.
11.Quartz Re-Sclera'd as contacts from Noodlesims

That's what happens when you combine the sclera of Pyxiidis (also a pretty amazing Maxis Match CC creator, btw) with itAmorsaftQuarz V2Eyes.
I love the default replacements made by Cupidjuice because they look brighter and much more expressive than EA's defaults.
However, I think Noodle Sims made a good choice by pairing it with the new Sclera. It looks a little more subdued, but not drastic.
I also think the two together add depth and texture to the eye, which is always a visual treat.
12.Yume Eyes V2 von simandy

Those eyes feelvery anime. In the best possible way.
They're wide, they're shiny, and there's more lens flare than in a dramatic Instagram filter.
And the attractive doe-eye aesthetic fits Simandy's style perfectly, so it's totally to be expected.
These come in 18 EA colors and are only available to human Sims (sorry, occult babies!). They can be installed as cosmetic overlays or standard replacements.
By the way; If you read the creator's notes, you'll see how black the black swatch is. Can confirm. The color field is so completely dark, it's mesmerizing as hell.
13.In your element: The sequel to LaruLaro

This is part two of the creator's originalIn your elementseries (which you can findhere).
I highly recommend checking out part one as it has some freaking awesome eye replacements for occult sims. However, this set also included teeth and other CAS bits.
And since I'm trying to stay organized and on topic, I recommend part two instead - these are clean eyes.
Eyes, which by the way can make any Sim look unfairly attractive. I spent a solid five minutes randomizing different Sims and the eyesalwaysworked.
There are 72 eye colors available for this version, categorized by palette. My favorite is thathistorianPalette.
What can I say? I love muted neutral tones.
14.Felicity Eyes von Plush

Ok, seriously; These eyes are brighter than my future.
ThisblissEyes are the updated version of Aveiraeyes N15. You will find theOriginal set here, but you don't need it for thatblisswork.
Those eyes are apparently Aveira's most downloaded custom content item of all time, and it's not very hard to see why.
Even in the retired N15 version, you can see how beautiful they are. Everything from the reflection to the gradient is so incredibly striking.
There are 18 colors to choose from and I have to say you will have a hard time picking a favourite.
All shades are big-G-beautiful.
fifteen.by ratboysims

influenceis actually the perfect word to use here, yes. 100% accurate.
I'm not even going to be poetic about what a stunner the sim model is in the preview photo (but seriously, how??)
I'll just focus on the eyes.
According to the creator, these eyes are a Maxis Match version ofchocolateseuphoric eyes. I know they look relatively simple and straightforward from the photos on the download page, but trust me; They are so much more noticeable in the game.
The difference between the EA standard eyes and theseinfluenceeyes is amazing. Especially the nuances hazel and violet are my personal favourites!
16.Halo eyes by Miiko

Those eyes really do look like paintings brought to life. Or at least get to 3D rendering? You're taking "hand-drawn textures" to a whole new level, and it's melifeTherefore.
Keep in mind that these eyes will look slightly different in CAS than in the preview photos, as the creator may have used different mods and CC items on their sims (e.g. eyelashes, skin replacements/overlays, eyebrows, etc.).
But I promise, they still look absolutely stunning even with the base game default settings.
17.Moose Eyes V2 by Solistair

ThisMoose Eyes V2are an updated version of the creator's originalSolistaireyes (that you can seehere).
Aside from updating them to work with the latest patch, the biggest difference between the two versions is that the eyes are now available as standalone contacts (under Face Paint), standard and non-standard replacements!
That being said, they're still strikingly appealing.
The three main colors are still blue, brown and green. Each main color has eight different shade/tone variations, giving us aA total of 24 swatcheschoose from.
We strongly encourage you to check out the GIF preview on the first version's download page. It's so satisfying to watch.
18.still feel eyes of baieyu

According to the creator, these eyes were inspired by some of pyxiidi's custom pieces.
I can see the similarities but overall I think baieyu did a good job creating a Maxis Match eye set that is unique to them.
The eyes are bright, clear, pretty and very charming in their own right.
I love the slightly larger pupil and the tiny little flashes of light. It's overall very neat and very clean, and really nails the animated cartoon feel of Maxi's Match in The Sims 4!
19.Soft Eyes by squeamishsims

So, here's the thing about thumbnail photos for CAS items like clothing, skin, hair, and (of course) eyes.
Often it is the sim that is used to model the item being marketedNota vanilla standard sim.
When CC creators present their content with a sim, chances are that the sim is already decked out to the last detail with other mods, default replacements, and various custom cosmetic content.
So players who don't know (especially new players) will download a custom CAS item and expect it to look likeexactlyas in the preview pictures, and then quickly disappointed when the expectations do not correspond to reality.
I'm saying that because I need to raise expectations with this one: Squeamishsimssoft eyesare really soft.
I mean even in game.
All the outlines and edges look like they're just blurred and fused together, giving the illusion of a soft, seamless, feather-like look.
But don't expect them to look exactly like the creator's preview photos! For this you need to download the same:
- eyelashes
- High
- skin details
- eyebrows
- And maybe even eye presets
All just to mimic what it looks like in the preview.
Aesthetics aside, this CC eye set is also packed with loads of cosmetic goodies.
In addition to the 18 standard human replacement eyes (in EA's standard palette), the creator added 38 natural additional patterns.
The eyes are also available for occult Sims (vampires, mermaids, etc.) and for pets. There are also heterochromic swatches for very striking looks!
20.Beetle Eyes 2 by squea

ThisBeetleEyes by Squea are perhaps one of the closest eyes to the standard TS4 eyes in terms of look, feel and overall design.
They have that distinctive 2D animation look, the colors are very distinct from the sclera, and the details are kept to an absolute minimum.
Just a drop of specular reflection, a nice gradient for the lighter shades, and that's it.
It's simple, it's straightforward, and it's still pretty darn eye-catching.
Also, the creator added 54 swatches in addition to EA's 18 default colors. 28 of them are from SerendipitysimsHistorian Palette. The other 12 swatches are duotones of the creator's own design.
