In addition to igo maps files for Australia, the new update also contains building, phoneme, POI and speed camera files.
For a Wince system unit the igo primo Australia maps should be on an SD card and your unit has an option to set the navigation path in your unit settings. With newer Android head units, the igo maps can be installed in the internal memory or referred to as the FLASH of your unit. You can check your old igo card files in the file manager app. In the root of the internal storage you may find an igo folder.

bought a car unit with gps on ebay and it came with the map of israel instead of australia. got the correct map and Will w also helped me reinstall the IGO navigation app on my android device after I deleted it along with the wrong map. had some drama with the install but Will sorted it all out.

Maps for Australia (SD card)
I received the software and maps from Will and loaded them onto my SD card but I couldn't get the sat nav to work. I got back in touch with Will and he got me to send him some photos of the navigation system file structure and screen. He got back to me and said that my brand new SD card was defective, so I bought another one and loaded the files on it, put it in the system, then it worked perfectly. Upgrade for IGO 8 Australia maps
I run IGO 8 in my car on a Kenwood device.
I contacted Will at My GPS Maps and found that he could send me a download of 2020Q4 Australia along with instructions on how to upload it to the system. It took 10 minutes to download and 10 minutes to copy to the SD card for the device. Tried it out - perfect and a big difference as my old cards were 11 years out of date! Very easy task, very quick help and replies from Will. A great service and easy to make. I'll probably update every few years from now! Thanks Will

Update Android Head Unit IGO maps
I used IGO Navigation (downloaded from Google Play Store) on my main Android device. The app came with Australia_HERE_2020.Q2 maps.
The maps available now for Australia are Q4. I posted a request on this site requesting Australia_HERE_2020.Q4 maps. I received a very quick email response from William. I paid my $10.00 processing fee through PayPal and almost immediately had a link to download the card set.
I tried updating my maps but they didn't work with the IGO app from the Google store. I emailed William and he explained that the IGO software app I had didn't support new maps. He sent me the IGO World app with detailed instructions on how to install it.
I deleted the installed IGO app and then installed IGO World along with the new maps. Everything worked fine and very easy to update.
A big thank you to William for his very quick responses to all my questions. Well done, great website. I urge anyone who would like map updates or advice to contact William.

A quick download and save of the file, then I deleted the old files on my old SD card and copied the new ones to replace them with the latest ones.
Plugged the SD back into my Car Media Unit, turned it on and IT WORKED!
