Choosing the right IBC container

To make sure you can buy with confidence from us, we've put together a guide below for choosing a new, remanufactured or re-bottled IBC.

Sale of new IBC containers

Every aspect of these containers is brand new from our manufacturers and is manufactured using virgin materials, cage and components. They are made of a food-grade polymer and BPA free, making them suitable for the storage of liquids intended for human and animal consumption, including drinking water, milk, alcohol and oils, as well as many other pharmaceutical and food applications. They are supplied with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bottle and a fully galvanized outer cage.

Each IBC is supplied with a security seal on the outlet valve cap and a foil on the outlet itself to indicate that the bottle inside is not to be used and is suitable for the storage of drinking water.

Sale of overbottled IBC containers

These containers are partly new and partly used. Rebottled IBCs consist of a good quality used cage while the inner bottle is replaced with a new virgin cylinder and outlet valve which is manufactured to the same standards as our new IBCs. This means that re-bottled IBCs are safe for food and beverage storage and can be recommended for drinking water storage.

Sale of used IBC containers

Remanufactured or used IBCs are containers that have been previously used, then professionally laundered and ready for reuse. The regeneration process involves the complete cleaning of the IBC. This includes professional cleaning of the inside and outside of both the inner bottle and the steel frame. Then a leak test and a visual inspection are carried out. Our remanufactured IBCs have been cleaned to a high standard, we can guarantee what products have previously been stored in containers and recommend FOOD GRADE reclaimed IBCs for drinking water intended for human or animal consumption. Please note that we do not sell any IBCs that have previously contained hazardous materials.
